We assess individuals experiening homelessness and assists with their ‘next-step’. Some individuals obtained a new passport or ID book. Others received training and secured a job.
We support Salesean Youth Projects, providing for the physical, educational, and spiritual needs of youth at risk through education, counselling, recreation, and training, in a professional, caring, and secure environment.
St Adrews supports Straatwerk, offering unemployable people participation in a job-rehab programme, giving them an opportunity to earn cash in hand for honest, hard work as an alternative to begging or resorting to crime.
Nolundisa lost all her belongings in a fire. Next-Step helped her with obtaining a replacement ID book and also gave her some vouchers for clothing and shelter accommodation.
Serita approached one of our partner churches for assistance in applying for her ID book. Her application was successful. This will definitely help her find a job.

Precious successfully received treatment for substance abuse at one of our partner agencies. Next-Step assists with the cost of transport for her to repatriate to KZN province.
Having lived on the streets, Mpumzi wants to do further studies. Next-Step assisted by paying for his ID Book and replacement of his Grade 12 certificate, which he lost.
